Becca contacted me several months ago about capturing her and Cory. Shortly into the conversation, I learned that the couple was eloping to our beautiful island- Amelia Island. They would be staying at the Fairbanks house and getting married there. Becca and Cory were not interested in me capturing their elopement necessarily, just the love that they have for each other in locations that screamed Florida, but Becca was necessarily interested in a "beach". After some conversation and sample portraits sent, we arrived at the fact that she loved the way I captured Ft. Clinch State Park, a short jaunt from where they were staying. So that was it. At Ft. Clinch State Park there are so many settings, white fluffy sand beaches, winding trails, beautiful Spanish moss covered oak trees, a historic fort with various brick and doors and a texturally pleasing rocky jetty landscape. For our one hour session, we chose to use the beautiful oak trees that canopied the road and the texturally pleasing rocky jetties. Of course there had to be a nor'easter on Amelia Island the day of our session, but no worries, I assured Becca and Cory that the sky was to die for and the rain would go away and I am sooooo happy we stuck to it because the session could not have gone more perfectly.
Becca and Cory wed at the Fairbanks House on Monday October 2nd. This beautiful couple met at Becca's church (her father is a pastor there) in 2006. They were friends ever since then but started dating November of 2014. They reside in Ohio where she is a Vet Tech and he is a Chimney Sweep. They surprised many of their family and friends with this nuptial, but knew that they wanted to elope to some place they had never been and stay in a Bed and Breakfast, which they had never done. Sounds like a perfect way to start a marriage to me. Congratulations to this beautiful couple!!!
